Mark G. Vitalis Hoffman

When we read the Bible, we usually focus on the words and the persons involved, but the events occurred in a particular place that is important for full understanding. By studying the land and the archaeological record, the whole biblical story comes into clearer focus. Ancient literature and archaeology explain what happened. Geology and geography explain why things happened where they did. The Bible explains why they happened.
