This six session Bible study was initially used during Lent, 1997 at Hope Lutheran Church in Fargo, North Dakota. It was designed to supplement the presentations made in the worship service, but it was also intended to be useful for individual study, family devotions, or as the basis for a small group study. To this end, you will note that the study is divided into four sections.

  • For Openers: Introductory questions to get people talking and thinking
  • For Your Information: Some useful information to assist the reader through the text
  • For Your Consideration: Questions designed to help the reader understand the text and begin to make applications
  • For Later: Suggestions for daily life based on this study
